Dr Lukman Abdulrauf is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Law, University of Ilorin Nigeria and Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is also a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria South Africa and a recipient of the Iso Lomso Fellowship of the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study, Stellenbosch.

Dr Abdulrauf has published extensively on data protection and transborder data flow both nationally and Internationally. Some of his works on data protection have appeared in high impact law journals such as the Liverpool Law Review and the Journal of Media Law and Information and Communication Technology Law. He is currently working on two books: the first is an edited book titled Data privacy in Africa: Prospects and Challenges which will be published by the Pretoria University Law Press (PULP) in 2022 and the Second is Constitutionalism on the Internet in Africa which is still a work in progress.

Dr. Abdulrauf has alsso published articles in the Gravitas Review of Business & Property Law.
